Dianne Hansford is an associate research professor in the School of Computing and Informatics and she is a member of the PRISM lab. Dianne received her Ph.D. in Computer Science at ASU in 1991, during which time she received an Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) scholarship and the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Faculty Women's Association. She spent a year in Germany on a Fulbright Junior Research Grant as the guest of Prof. J. Hoschek in Darmstadt and Prof. W. Boehm in Braunschweig. Upon returning to Arizona , she worked as a Senior CAD/CAM Scientist at MCS, known for the product Anvil 5000. Since 1994 she has worked as a consultant in her business NURBS Depot / FarinHansford.com, specializing in curve and surface problems in the CAD industry. In 2000 she co-founded 3D Compression Technologies.
